LITERARY JUJUY CORAZON ANDINO COMPETITION
We invite you to present a thematic script for the closing event of JCA in Los Colorados, Purmamarca, to be held on Saturday, November 10 th with thousands of artists in a unique setting, the world will witness the energy and beauty of the Andean region.

LITERARY COMPETITION JUJUY “HEARTLAND OF THE ANDES”
The International Festival of Sustainable Art "Jujuy Heartland of the Andes" together with the
Ministry of Education of the Government of Jujuy Province, present this competition with the
aim of promoting the environmental awareness and of contributing through the incentive to
the literary creativity, the reflection on environmental care and a sustainable lifestyle.
This competition will award stories that should include at least 5 of the following points:
1. Ecology
2. Biodiversity
3. Renewable energies
4. Environmental protection
5. Recycling, reduction, reuse
6. Sustainable art
7. Natural resources
8. Tradition
9. Myths, stories and legends.
10. History of the Andean region.
The winning stories will be used as thematic lines in the closing concert of the festival to be
held in Purmamarca - Jujuy, on November 10 th , 2018 and three prizes of $ 20,000 will be
awarded to each story.
Students of any nationality and sex between 15 and 30 years old who are studying at high
school or college in public or private institutions, will be able to participate in the competition.
Format:
The works must be submitted in digital format, A4 sheets, in Word, two to four pages, Arial
font size 12; body: single line and automatic spacing.
Observations
● The works must be unpublished and not awarded in other competitions.
● Those whose content does not meet the formal requirements of the competition will be
rejected.
● Each contestant will participate with a single literary work.
● The work will be sent by email. The name and surname should not be written in the
work but it must be identified with a pseudonym.
● An enrollment form will be filled in with the name and surname, age, address, ID
number, telephone number, email address, title of the work and pseudonym in the
following link:

Deadlines
The writings will be received from May 1st to June 30th , 2018.
Works submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
The result will be published on Friday, July 15 th , 2018.
Awards
The winning work will be part of the central theme of the closing show of the Jujuy “Heartland
of the Andes” Festival.
The prize will consist of a digital board for the educational institution that represents the
winner of the competition.
5,000 pesos for the awarded student.
Jury
The jury will be formed of 3 recognized artists, the artistic direction of the Festival will be in
charge of: Andrea Merenzon, Professor of the University xxxx, and the acknowledged Writer
of Humahuaca, Don Sixto Vázquez Zuleta.
The jury may use the theme of the winning work adapting it to the dynamics of the Show.
The decision of the jury is unappealable.
Property rights
The works are property of their authors. However, by participating in this Competition, the
International Festival of Sustainable Art "Jujuy “Heartland of the Andes”, reserves the right to
publish the stories of the winners and finalists with the sole obligation to quote the name of
the author.
